I have been trying to think of a time where procrastination has affected me, and I do have many of those times, but I'll write them down later. I swear.

Procrastination is probably one of the most common challenges for college students -- I mean human beings -- so if you’re wondering how to overcome it, you’re not alone. I could encourage you to examine what it is that you’re avoiding, or which challenging emotions you’re trying to get away from, when you pick up your phone or start playing a video game instead of doing your homework. And that might be helpful. But if you’re reading this to figure out how to stop procrastinating NOW? My best advice is to look at the image below and get yourself over the “action line”, which is the surest way to reduce any pain and stress associated with procrastination. How, you might ask? Do something. Don’t wait until you feel like doing it – simply start now. Make a to-do list for your assignment. Break it down into small tasks, the smaller the better, and then start with one task and check it off. Then the next, and then the next.
